Amarok has its own website where there is a lot of information, but here I’ll just add that this is the project I debuted with over 20 years ago. The music is a combination of electronica, folk and rock. Some say it’s progressive rock and others say it’s post rock. With time, the second core of Amarok became my wife Marta Wojtas, who writes all the lyrics and is often responsible for the visual side, such as the covers or the logo. Guest artists such as Colin Bass (Camel) or Mariusz Duda (Riverside), Michał Ściwiarski and many others can be heard on the records. As Amarok, I also collaborated with the British contemporary dance choreographer James Wilton, which resulted in an album of music for the show (The Storm). The line-up has expanded in earnest since Amarok recorded its sixth album, Hero. First Konrad Zieliński (dr) joined, then Kornel Poplawski (b, vln). The band started playing gigs, in Poland, Europe and also in South America. We even played with Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), who received a vinyl version of the Hunt album from us. Ahead of us – a brand new album entitled: Hope will be released in spring 2024, followed by a tour to promote the album.
